Here you will find all information for all the year groups :

Homework:

We use Khan Academy and Seneca for revison and sometimes homework (for english, science and etc). Your child will recieve a letter giving more information. There are also some other courses you child can do if they want to.  But our main platform is Google Classroom , Please make sure your child is using their own email managed by the school. (the email address that they use on their chromebook). Sometimes homework projects are not online so they should show their teacher. Here is the subject homwork schedule:
- Maths - Mymaths - 20/25 minutes - weekly 
- English - Set through google classroom - 25 minutes - weekly 
- Science - Seneca (2nd week - 3rd week), making flashcards and revising (4th - 5th week) - fortnightly 
- Humanities - History - Task set on google classroom (termly) - Geography chilli challenge - termly - PRE - Task set on google classroom (termly) 35 minutes per week (maximum)
- Art - Task set on google classroom - termly - 30 minutes per week
Performing Arts -  Occasional homework may be set for KS3 but for KS4/5 course homework
In KS4 homework will be set for your courses along with A-Level

Chromebooks  

 At TASS we use Chromebooks to help students with learning. But you might be wondering why Chromebooks? 

• Chromebooks are protected and are managed by the school to keep your child safe online
  

• Chromebooks have all the apps your child needs to help with learning. (Google documents, sheets, drive, etc) 
• Chromebooks are affordable and have long lasting battery life that can last up to 10 hours
• We use Tech 4 Learners to provide Chromebooks and other technology for the school. If you are joining year 7 from TAPS (Teddy Academy Primary School) we will send some letters giving all relevant information in late May, children joining year 7 in September 2024. 
• Order deadline Monday 24th June 2024  and than you will receive your Chromebook on the first day of year 7. In TAPS you do use Chromebooks but not all the time so in computing lessons in the first term we will teach you how to use your Chromebook properly. 
• But if your Chromebooks doesn’t have charge please tell your form teacher or subject teacher. But if you forgot to bring it in ask your form teacher at the start of the day so you can borrow one from the IT department/library.
• Chromebooks are only supposed to be used at home for study purposes and appropriate reasons but remember we can see what you are doing since it is school managed
•  If it is broken please inform the school and we will help you to fix it and a replacement chromebook will be sent our to you free of charge (as it is included in the warranty)
